Product details

Basic principles of product use:

The main function of the tungsten wire for automotive glass is to defrost the rear windshield. The basic principle is that when the driver turns on the defrost/fog control switch in rain, snow, or fog, the tungsten wire is energized and heated, and the temperature of the glass rises. The frost or fog attached to the glass is melted by the heat and melted into water droplets. Or volatilize as a mist, so as to achieve defrosting and fogging effects, allowing car owners to clearly distinguish the rear driving conditions, reversing and other safe operations. The tungsten heating wire in the glass interlayer heats the glass to increase the temperature of the glass and evaporate the mist and water droplets on the surface.

Specific schematic diagram for tungsten wire in automotive glass use:

The tungsten wire with a diameter of 0.018~0.033mm is embedded in the PVB film to ensure that the light transmittance of the glass will not be affected. In order to ensure that the glass will not burst after being heated, the tungsten heating wire is designed to be corrugated, so that the surface of the glass can be heated more uniformly and ensure safety.
